Purpose: Nesmuk wooden boards are ideal cutting surfaces. The heartwood pieces, cut from the oldest and most valuable part of a trunk, are cut across the grain and offer several advantages: the vertical alignment of the fibers protects the cutting edge because it "splits" them rather than cutting them, as is the case with horizontally aligned wood fibers. In addition to the attractive appearance of the visible annual rings, end grain wooden boards are also warp-free, antibacterial, and absorb and release liquids better. The cutting board is conveniently equipped with a two-sided, easy-to-clean juice groove so that food can be easily scraped off the smooth surface. The extra-wide recessed grips provide space for a plate. The board is also available in XL.
