The Exklusiv Damast C100 chef's knife series from the German-speaking manufacturer Nesmuk from Solingen combines elegance and outstanding sharpness. Unique in the kitchen knife market is the wafer-thin silicon layer called Nesmuk Protective Coating applied to the blades of the series, which preserves the non-stainless steel blade and protects it from rust. The cutting edge, however, is not coated and must be oiled with camellia oil to protect it from corrosion. The 350-layer Damascus blade is hand-forged and has a hardness of 65 HRC and, consequently, high edge retention. The high-quality steel composite allows the blade to be ground very thinly and results in a very fine cutting edge, which makes cutting a true experience. Unlike the C90, Janus, and Soul series, the blades are symmetrical without a one-sided hollow grind. The shapely, ergonomic handles made of precious woods or high-quality, synthetic handle materials are hard to put down and contribute to the exclusive character of these knives.
